This model shows orthographic projections of both the 7-demicube (Gosset’s 1_41) and the 10-demicube (Gosset’s 1_71). These have only 64 distinct 3D ball positions after projection. In the Zometool model, these will be represented by brown/orange/red connectors. Due to the projection from 7D or 10D to 3D, 592 pairs of crossing struts must be dealt with. 292 of these intersections have been replaced by false vertices, each connecting at least four Zometool struts. These false vertices are represented by white connectors:

Building instructions

3D printing is used to handle the remaining 300 pairs of crossings, allowing a regular Zometool strut to pass through a hole. These are indicated by blue balls in the building instructions. Some of these intersections are almost hidden within the completed model:
